During Winter, we lovingly tend to the skin on our face, boosting the hydration and moisture levels to preserve and protect against the cold and drying conditions.

But with our bodies covered up with layers of clothing for warmth, the skin below our neck may not get the same attention.

Enter Berry Buff, our body smoothie scrub. This smooth operator is capable of so much more than just exfoliating.

Here’s what makes it so buffing brilliant:

A physical AND chemical exfoliant: 

Berry Buff is a scrub so it is classified as a physical exfoliant. It uses natural fibres like coconut and walnut shell powders, as well as pumice, to gently buff away the dead skin cells from the surface of the skin.

But it also contains lactic acid, a natural and safe plant acid derived from fruit, that also provides a gentle chemical exfoliation by loosening the bonds between the dead skin cells, assisting with cell turnover, while also moisturising the skin.

Bursting with Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs):

You can’t have Berry Buff without a healthy dose of berries, so we have squeezed both blueberry fruit extract and raspberry seed oil into the blender.

Berries not only pack punch on the flavour scale, but they are also super rich in essential fatty acids.

Essential fatty acids help to moisturise and protect the skin as well as improve the skin’s elasticity.

An extra healthy squeeze of Antioxidants: 

Berries are known to be rich in antioxidants so we couldn’t have a berry product without doing everything we could to boost the antioxidant levels.

Berry Buff also contains Dragonfruit Fruit extract, an ingredient packed with vitamins C and E to help moisturise the skin, ease inflammation, and reduce the signs of ageing.

We have also added Lilli Pilli, an Australian native extract also rich in vitamin C, that is a great skin purifier and promotes the production of collagen in the skin to help improve firmness and elasticity.

Finally, there is a dash of vitamin E with the addition of Tocopherol, an oil soluble antioxidant that protects the lipid barrier to help seal in moisture and smooth the skin.

Boosting hydration and protecting the skin: 

We like a good multi-tasking product and one of the best things about Berry Buff is that not only does it exfoliate, but it also leaves your skin feeling nourished and moisturised.

This is thanks to the hydrating and nourishing ingredients like sweet almond oil and glycerin.

Glycerin is an ingredient sourced from organic flaxseeds, that acts like a moisturiser locking water into the skin and keeping it feeling smooth and dewy.

Similarly, sweet almond oil helps maintain the hydration levels in the skin by acting as a protective barrier on the top the skin. This nut oil is rich in lipids and helps to strengthen the outermost layer of the skin, keeping dirt and impurities out and aiding the skin’s natural repair process.

Berry Buff also contains mineral ingredients like kaolin, iron oxide and titanium oxide that are also known to have healing and protective properties.
