When?

Use 2-3 times a week at night before cleansing.

Allow at least 48 hours before exfoliating again.

How?

Massage a pump of gel over face, avoiding the eye area. Leave for 3-5 mins, then cleanse to remove.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Facial In a Jar tingles on my skin - is that normal?

It's normal to experience some tingling once your Facial In a Jar is applied to your face. However if this becomes too uncomfortable, we recommend removing the product straight away. In some cases, your skin will need to adjust and get used to the product. We recommend leaving it on for one 1 minute and then working up to 5 minutes over time.

Why do you recommend chemical exfoliants?

We do have a preference for chemical exfoliation at Skin Juice as it is suitable for all skin types and is particularly beneficial for sensitive and reactive skin types, as it's a more gentle form of exfoliation.

Aren't chemicals bad for the skin/you?

When we say chemical, we’re not talking about any of those harmful, toxic chemicals that can leave you fluorescent red. Chemical exfoliation can be performed with natural ingredients, and refers to the process where Alpha Hydroxy or Beta Hydroxy acids and enzymes exfoliate the skin without the use of an abrasive bead or fibre. Instead these ingredients gently dissolve the bonds, or glue, that hold the dead skin cells together on the surface of the skin.

Can I use more than one Facial In A Jar?

You might enjoy having more than one in your collection, if you find that more than one may be suitable for your skin type. However, you shouldn’t use them at the same time and would never layer them. We also recommend leaving a minimum of 48 hours between each use.

Does Facial In a Jar contain Retinol or Vitamin A?

If you're after retinol you might like our Plumping Pumpkin or Purifying Pineapple with Vit-A-Like which is a botanical alternative to Retinol and clinically proven to stimulate cellular renewal and collagen synthesis.
