Is Sun Juice safe for sensitive skin?

Yes, Sun Juice is formulated to be gentle on sensitive and reactive skin.

Because it’s a physical (mineral) sunscreen, Sun Juice sits on the surface of the skin to reflect UV rays rather than absorbing them. This makes it less likely to trigger irritation compared to many chemical sunscreens. The formula is enriched with skin-loving nutrients that hydrate and protect while keeping the skin barrier calm and balanced. That said, as with any skincare product, we recommend patch testing first if you know your skin is highly reactive.

How long will Sun Juice protect me in the sun?

SPF measures protection level, not time spent in the sun.

How long your skin stays protected depends on several factors: skin type, location, season, weather conditions, intensity of sunlight, sweat, and how much product you apply. SPF ratings are based on applying a liberal amount of sunscreen during testing. You can reapply throughout the day as often as needed, but if you’re in direct sun for prolonged periods, we recommend reapplying often to maintain maximum protection.

What’s the difference between chemical and physical SPFs?

Physical sunscreens reflect UV rays, while chemical sunscreens absorb them.

Physical sunscreens (like Sun Juice) use mineral filters that sit on top of the skin, scattering and reflecting UVA and UVB rays for broad-spectrum protection. Chemical sunscreens, on the other hand, penetrate the upper layers of skin and absorb UV rays. They then convert the rays into heat, which is released from the skin. Many people find mineral sunscreens gentler on sensitive skin and appreciate their instant protection on application.
